ツーリングシェルターを考える5
軽くて、広くて、簡単で、、
シングルポールシェルターはまさにツーリングユースにぴったりです。
しかし、そこであえて「ポストシングルポールシェルターを探せ！」の大号令のもと
始まった妄想劇は既に第5弾となりましたｗ。
バイク積載可能なパッキングサイズ・重量の中で
可能な限りの広さと快適性を追求する幕探し。
それが、本企画の趣旨でございます♪
さて今回取り上げたい幕体は
英国発、TERRA NOVA LASER SPACE 2です。
中にチラリとインナーテントが見えますが、
取り外せばシェルターとして使えるだろうという算段で
今回ご紹介します。

意外にでかいでしょ？
実は私の理想に近いサイズです♪
そして、何よりも驚いたのはその重量。
インナーテント、ポール込みで2.77キロは
インナーを省けば2キロ前後で持ち歩けるということでしょうか？
2010年の「キャンプマガジン賞」なるものを受賞したそうですが
本国イギリスではそれなりに話題になっている幕なんでしょうかね。。

The Terra Nova Laser Space 2 has been highly commended in the 2010 Camping Magazine awards! The Laser Space 2 expands on the success of Terra Nova's Laser range of superlite tents and is the first ever lightweight backpacking tent that you can stand up in.
Weighing just over 3 kg, the amount of space available inside is remarkable, and the 1.76 m of headroom makes it possible to change out of wet clothing in the porch whilst keeping the inner tent clean and dry. The porch is 3m² and will accomodate folding chairs and rucksacks with ample space left for cooking or accessing the inner tent. A smaller "back door" makes it possible to exit the tent in the night without crossing your partner, or can be used as a main entrance if the porch is required for storage of large items such as bikes.
The use of superlite fabrics on the Terra Nova Laser Space 2 means that the flysheet seams can't be taped, but are instead covered by a pole hood (included). A major benefit of these superlite fabrics (other than the incredible low weight, obviously!) is that this huge 2 person tent has a packed size of a mere 55 x 20 cms. Note: Due to the nature of the silcon fabrics used in this tent, the seams are not factory sealed.
